As a part of the National Imagery Coordination Programme, Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is initiating a project to digitise and make available the Crown historic aerial photo archive. This archive contains 500,000 photos spanning 1936-2005. The content of the archive, results of a pilot, and the next phase of the project are discussed.
